ISMAC first started as a workshop in 2005 organized by the faculty of Engineering in Chulalongkorn University and the Graduate School of Information and Science Technology, Hokkaido University entitled, &#8220;Workshop on Information Technology and Communication&#8221; (CHITC 2005). <\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">From modest beginnings, the workshop was renamed as ISMAC in 2009 to attract a more international audience. Since then ISMAC has been the venue for the presentation of over 400 papers and has been hosted in three countries&#8211; Japan, the Philippines and Thailand. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This year, ISMAC returns to the Philippines for the third time on August 20-22, 2025 in Bohol Island, Philippines.
